Martell releases non-chill-filtered edition

Pernod Ricard-owned Cognac house Martell has released a non-chill-filtered expression developed to target nightlife consumers.

Martell has released a non-chill-filtered edition targeting nightlife consumption

Martell NCF is the “first” release from the brand to be filtered at room temperature with the specific aim of preserving mouthfeel and aromas when served over ice.

The expression is described as a “refreshing new option” for customers who want a “sophisticated and deliciously easy signature drink”.

Given nosing and tasting notes include apricot jam, vanilla, mandarin, pink grapefruit, citrus peel and candied fruit.

Suggested mixers and serving suggestions include with peach, lemon tea, soda water, or on ice with a dash of freshly squeezed orange juice.

Martell NCF is presented in a light-reflective metallic copper-coated bottle, translucent at the top with full transparency at the base, which shows the “amber-gold” Cognac.

The transparent label has been designed with a series of white lines with glow in the dark under UV lights.

Two serving rituals accompany the launch. The Martell Ice Pool two tier tray which releases ice-blue mist. The device holds shot glasses of Martell NCF on the top tier, with mixers and ice-filled glasses below. When a tab is pulled, the shot glasses drop into the long drink.

The second is The Martell Frappé, which features a shaker which lights up when in use.

Martell celebrated its 300th anniversary in 2015 with a series of events and celebrations held throughout the year.
