Angels’ Nectar Scotch releases peated edition
By Amy HopkinsScotland-based spirits bottler Highfern has launched a peated version of its Angels’ Share blended Scotch whisky brand, comprised of Highland liquid.
Blended Scotch whisky brand Angels’ Nectar has released its first peated editionThe no-age-statement brand first launched in 2014, inspired by what is known in the industry as the angels’ share – the evaporated alcohol lost as whisky matures.
The Rich Peat Edition of Angels’ Nectar Blended Malt Scotch Whisky is “heavily peated” and created from a selection of Highland malts.
Said to have a “stronger, more robust” flavour than the first edition of Angels’ Nectar, the Rich Peat Edition has an “oozing peat smoke” taste offset with the “subtle fruity sweetness” of toffee apples and dark chocolate.
“It’s great to see our range of malts expand, said Robert Ransom, founder of Highfern. “International interest in the Rich Peat Edition has also been particularly exciting.”
“Our Dutch launch will take place at the Hielander Whisky Festival in Alkmaar next week, and we also have bottles on their way to Germany and South Korea.”
The Rich Peat Edition is bottled at 46% abv and carries an RRP of £44.00.
