Deep Eddy joins peach-flavoured vodka trend
By Amy HopkinsHeaven Hill’s recently acquired Texan vodka brand Deep Eddy has expanded its portfolio with the addition of a peach-flavoured bottling.
Deep Eddy Peach joins the Texan brand’s growing flavour portfolioSaid to be the fastest-growing spirits brand in the US, Deep Eddy was acquired by Elijah Craig Bourbon producer Heaven Hill last year.
The brand’s new peach flavour is created using real fruit at its distillery just outside of Austin.
A number of vodka brands have moved away from once-popular confectionary flavours, to more classic fruit flavours, including Skyy Vodka and Svedka Vodka.
“Peach is a classic American flavour and has seen a resurgence in cocktails over the past few years,” said Brandon Cason, vice president of marketing at Deep Eddy Vodka.
“We worked on Deep Eddy Peach for more than a year to ensure we capture the flavor of real peaches in a way that enables both simple mixology at home and complex cocktails for advanced bartenders.
“We pride ourselves in creating simpler, more natural products that cocktail drinkers love and Deep Eddy Peach offers yet another way to add pure flavours to spring and summer cocktails.”
Deep Eddy Peach joins four other flavoured variants in the brand’s flavoured range – Lemon, Ruby Red Grapefruit, Cranberry and Sweet Tea, in addition to a straight variant.
Since launching in 2010, Deep Eddy has grown its sales to more than 700,000 cases and has ambitious growth prospects for the future.
Deep Eddy Peach will be available across the US from the beginning of February at an RRP of US19.99.
