Cotswolds Distillery takes its dry gin to Australia

Cotswolds Distillery is to expand the international footprint of its dry gin after signing a ‘major’ distribution deal in Australia.

Cotswolds Distillery is taking its staple dry gin to Australia after inking a deal with Woolworths

The company, which launched in 2014, has appointed Woolworths Ltd and the World Woolworth’s Liquor Group, the world’s 15th largest retailer and owner of Dan Murphy’s, to handle its Cotswolds Dry Gin in Australia.

The gin is expected to hit shelves in Australia through Woolworths in spring 2016.

“I have been working closely with John Jeffrey, our sales, export and logistics director to secure this deal for almost eight months,” said Daniel Szor, owner of The Cotswolds Distillery.

“Our initial research was carried out on a visit to Australia in November 2014 and it is a testament to the quality and positioning of the brand that we have secured this deal.

“We are tremendously excited to be working with the Woolworth liquor group and we’re looking forward to a successful launch in Australia next year.”

Cotswolds Dry Gin is the distillery’s first product and features a traditional base of botanicals including juniper, angelica root and coriander along with Cotswolds lavender and bay leaf.
