TOTC unveils exclusive Bittered Sling travel pack
Tales of the Cocktail has joined forces with Bittered Sling to create a limited edition bitters travel pack that will be exclusively available from this year’s event in New Orleans.
The Tales of the Cocktail Special Edition Travel Pack by Bitter Sling will be released at this year’s festival
The Tales of the Cocktail Special Edition Travel Pack by Bittered Sling was inspired by the communities and neighbourhoods of Tales of the Cocktail’s destinations.
The range comprises four different flavours, including Vancouver’s Gastown, Mexico City’s Condesa, Buenos Aires’ Palermo and New Orleans’ French Quarter.
Lauren More, Bittered Sling co-proprietor and bartender, said: “We’re exicted to unveil these limited edition Tales of the Cocktail travel packs.”
Jonathan Chovancek, Bittered Sling co-proprietor and chef, added: “We’ve infused each of these bitters with the authentic spirit of each of the On Tour cities for which they’re named.”
Gastown Bitters was inspired by the very first Tales on Tour in Vancouver, and is said to have “refreshing alpine herbaceous qualities” with hints of celery, chamomile, green tea and jasmine.
Palermo Bitters is described as offering a smoky blend of cacao beans and husks, yerba maté, black pepper and red and black fruits, while Condesa Bitters is a celebration of Tales of the Cocktail on Tour, Mexico City 2015 and 2016 made from Mexican spices such as smoked chillies and epazote.
Meanwhile, French Quarter Bitters is Creole-inspired and is crafted from anise, lavender and cherry with American oak and chicory.
“We are so excited to be partnering with Bittered Sling to bring the flavours of Tales of the Cocktail to life,” said Ann Tuennerman, founder of Tales of the Cocktail. “I hope everyone has a chance to taste the incredible flavours that Lauren and Jonathan have created.”
The Tales of the Cocktail Special Edition Travel Pack by Bittered Sling will be available from The Market at Tales and Bitter Market located in the Hotel Monteleone throughout this year’s festival.
