Jimi Hendrix-inspired liqueur readies to launch

Leon Hendrix, brother of Jimi Hendrix, has partnered with Tiger Paw Beverage Company to launch a liqueur inspired by his late sibling’s songsThe first product to launch from the range will be Purple Haze Liqueur, named after the famous Jimi Hendrix track.
Purple Haze is made from exotic berries, Cognac and vodka and is bottled at 17% abv.
“Jimi Hendrix was arguably the greatest instrumentalist in the history of rock music,” the firm said in a statement.
“Jimi Hendrix’s fame allowed him to usher in a new era of music, creating an impact upon rock music as a whole that continues to be felt.”
Tiger Paw Beverage Company will launch Purple Haze this summer throughout the US, before expanding to other international markets, and will be supported by imagery and media focused events.
The company plans to expand its portfolio with further Jimi Hendrix song-inspired spirit products.
Earlier this month, a vodka brand was launched in memory of Freddie Mercury, the late frontman of rock band Queen.
Meanwhile, in August last year it was revealed that Beatles Legend John Lennon will have a 40-year-old single malt Scotch whisky named after him in 2020 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of his death.
