Funkin launches two new ‘single batch’ syrups

Cocktail syrup brand Funkin is continuing with its “pipeline of innovation” by two new flavours in its “single batch” range.

Funkin’s Early Grey and Ginger syrups are the latest additions to the brand’s single batch range

Funkin Ginger Syrup is made with spicy root ginger from South America that is crushed to form a paste and then mixed with hot water.

The second new expression, Funkin Earl Grey Syrup, is created by extracting earl grey tea leaf essence and infusing this with natural oils from the rind of bergamot oranges.

“The pipeline of innovation at Funkin continues with the addition of our latest single batch syrups,” said Funkin senior brand manager Joana Lenkova

“These are amazing flavours that we have already received acclaim for from leading industry bartenders as they have intense flavour and give creative licence to those crafting cocktails.

“We are offering our customers authentic ready-made products for flavours that are difficult to replicate with consistency.”

Both expressions will be exclusively available to the on-trade “while supplies last” in cases of 36cl glass bottles.

Last month, it was announced that Funkin had been acquired by Scottish soft drinks group A.G. Barr for £16.5 million.
