Bompas & Parr, founded by Sam Bompas (left) and Harry Parr (right), is set to host an anatomical whisky tasting in London this Valentines DayThe artistic duo, Sam Bompas and Harry Parr, are inviting attendees to taste 25, 30 and 50-year-old spirits from the natural contours of the bodies of chosen performers born the same year the liquid was put in a cask.
Bompas & Parr claims the natural heat of the body will raise the temperature of the whisky, showcasing the flavours in a new and extraordinary way.
Each performer will then outline their life story to give perspective to the amount of time each spirit has spent maturing in a cask.
The intimate event is being hosted in line with Issue 05 of food, arts and culture journal The Gourmand, which contains a photographic exploration and extended feature on bodily drinking techniques from across the ages.
Tastings will be hosted at 3pm and 7pm at the Ace Hotel in Shoreditch, London
