Belvedere Vodka to feature in James Bond Spectre

James Bond is to swap his Heineken for Belvedere Vodka Martinis in his latest film Spectre, following a sponsorship deal by the brand.

James Bond first ordered his signature “shaken, not stirred” Martini in the movie Goldfinger

In its biggest global marketing campaign to-date, Belvedere Vodka will unleash a range of promotions and activations around the film, due for release in November 2015.

As part of the campaign, Belvedere will launch two limited edition bottles from next year.

The LVMH-owned group has replaced the iconic Belvedere Palace in favour of the MI6 headquarters on a limited run of 100 bottles, on which its signature blue colouring is swapped for the spy agency’s signature green ink.

None of the 100 bottles will be available for sale, but will be gifted to Bond aficionados and donated to charity auctions.

The second bottle, which will be given a more general release, will be a 007 twist on Belvedere’s metallic and illuminated Silver Sabre bottles.

Charles Gibb, president of Belvedere Vodka, said: “James Bond is recognised as the most admired and influential tastemaker in the world. We’re delighted that Belvedere will be partnering with Spectre, our largest global partnership to date.”

The group has not announced what role Belevedere will play within the film itself, although it’s hotly tipped that Bond will likely order the vodka within his signature “shaken, not stirred” Martini.

The new marketing campaign will role out from February 2015 with a “strong focus” in the on- and off-trade.
