Gin Mare owner changes name to Vantguard

Gin Mare owner, Global Premium Brands, has changed its name to Vantguard to “fit its personality better”.

Gin Mare, owner Global Premium Brands, has undergone an “evolution”

The Spain-based Mediterranean gin producer announced the change to its name this week.

“There are many reasons for changing the trade name of a company, to reincarnate into a new being,” the company said in a statement.

”We believe that in a world in constant movement, we should be constantly evolving, coming out of that comfort zone that could make us so comfortable that we end up falling asleep and maybe fading away all together. We believe that when we evolve, we improve. We undergo little transformations that bring us better results, nearer to where we want to be.

“Global Premium Brands is born again. With the same personality, but wearing a suit that fits our personality better. Its identity wrapped in a new skin. The very same essence, inside a different bottle… You could call it evolution, nonconformity or simply, a question of energy.”

Global Premium Brands is now known as Vantguard

In addition to Gin Mare, Vantguard also producers 1724 Tonic Water, CapuCana Cachaça and Ysabel Regina brandy.

The final of Gin Mare’s annual cocktail competition, Mediterranean Inspirations, is taking place in Ibiza this week.

Last year’s winner of the competition was Amanda Boucher of La Candelaria in Paris.
