Beam rolls out 2 Gingers Irish Whiskey throughout US
By Melita KielyBeam has increased distribution of Irish whiskey brand 2 Gingers from a single State to across the whole of the US following “exponential growth”.
2 Gingers Irish Whiskey is now available nationwide in the USThe premium blended whiskey, which is aged four years and double-distilled, was formerly only available in Minnesota but is now available to purchase throughout the US less than one year after Beam’s acquisition.
To promote the national launch, founder and CEO Kieran Folliard will use a customised 2 Gingers trailer to meet with bartenders, distributors and consumers across the country and emphasise the brand’s two cocktails, the Big Ginger and Skinny Ginger.
2 Gingers is described as smooth, malty and slightly sweet with caramel, citrus and vanilla undertones.
Folliard said: “At its heart, 2 Gingers is about following up on a hunch and pursuing your dreams. We hope to encourage others to pursue their dreams, to demonstrate what we stand for and to pose the question, why not try something big?”
Since its launch in 2011, 2 Gingers has been produced at the Kilbeggan distillery in Ireland, under a supply contract with Cooley.
The whiskey was later acquired by Beam in December 2012 after the US-based drinks group bought Cooley and cut all existing supply contracts except for the 2 Gingers brand.
