Snow Queen Martini Masters finalists named

After being overwhelmed with top quality recipes for the inaugural Snow Queen Martini Masters 2013, 12 bartenders have been chosen to participate in the grand final this month.

The Snow Queen Martini Masters final will be held on 19 March in London

The cocktail competition, run in collaboration with The Spirits Business, was initially looking for just five finalists, but the final number has been extended to 12 following an overwhelming response from bartenders around the world.

The finalists will be invited to compete against one another in a live competition attended by some of the biggest names in the spirits industry, including bartenders, bloggers and press, at The Club at The Ivy in London on 19 March.

Each finalist will mix their submitted recipe for the ultimate Snow Queen Martini, and be marked on the drink’s appearance, taste, aroma and presentation.

The three best-performing bartenders will be invited to proceed to the grand final, and mix a Martini from a mystery box of ingredients. The overall winner will be awarded $5,000.

“We are delighted to be hosting this prestigious competition in association with Kazakhstan brand Snow Queen Vodka, and have been blown away by the standard of entries submitted from all corners of the globe,” said Daisy Jones, associate publisher of The Spirits Business. “We are certain the grand final this month will be a stellar event, and I’m personally very excited to find out how our bartenders perform on the day.”

The 12 finalists are:
Chris Edwards, The Parlour, London
Michael Stringer, Hire The Barman, London
Charlie Gollands, Beer Garden, Malta
Jeremy Pascal, Perkin Reveller, London
Callan Green, The Experimental Cocktail Club, London
