Bardinet and Ginger Ale hits UK shelves
French brandy Bardinet is tapping into the ready-to-drink (RTD) space with its new canned offering: Bardinet Brandy and Ginger Ale.
Available in the UK, the brandy-based RTD sits at 5% ABV and will retail for £2.25 (US$2.80) per 250ml can. It can be found at Morrisons stores across the UK.
Léna Rusek, Bardinet brand manager, said: “We are thrilled to introduce Bardinet Brandy and Ginger Ale to the UK market. Its launch underscores our global approach to refreshing and modernising the brandy category image, aimed at capturing the imagination of young generations.
“This innovation highlights our unwavering commitment to pushing boundaries and attracting new enthusiasts while resonating with the evolving preferences of today’s drinkers.
“Bardinet Brandy and Ginger Ale offers a seamless blend of tradition and convenience, tailored for those who prioritise quality without compromise.”
The RTD is the latest innovation from Bardinet as the brand, owned by La Martiniquaise-Bardinet, aims to recruit new drinkers.
The brandy recently launched Bardinet Inspirations, which was designed to be mixed. It also follows the launch of the brand’s coffee-flavoured brandy.
“With the classic taste of this cocktail packaged in a convenient can, it’s tailor-made for a new generation of brandy aficionados to savour at home, parties or on the move,” Rusek added.
“We are confident that this versatile and invigorating cocktail will swiftly become a favourite – representing a fresh perspective on enjoying our brand in any setting.”
In November last year, data from IWSR Drinks Market Analysis revealed the RTD category is expected to be worth US$21.1 billion in the US by 2027.
Brandy also grew faster than Cognac in the travel retail channel in 2022.
