Cocktail & Signature Serve Masters returns

The Global Spirits Masters Competitions (GSMC) is calling on brands to submit their cocktail recipes for the chance to win the top accolade.

The Cocktail & Signature Serve Masters is back for 2022

Last November, The GSMC staged a new competition for 2021, The Cocktail & Signature Serve Masters.

The contest seeks to discover which recipes should be awarded for their high quality and well‐thought‐out methods.

Brands that are interested in submitting recipes must provide the ingredients list, method and two bottles of the base spirit by Friday 21 October. Entrants can provide specific ingredients where necessary.

Each serve will be recreated by an in-house bartender using the brand’s recipe, before being judged by an expert panel of spirits and cocktail experts in a central London location.

Judges are not told what brand is used as the base spirit but are able to request the ingredients list of each serve.

The competition assesses entries based on their appearance, nose, palate and balance, and considers how easy and accessible the drinks are to make in terms of their recipes and methods.

Judges will award Silver, Gold and Master medals to each cocktail, with one serve walking away with the top title of Taste Master.

The results from the competition will be published in the December 2022 issue of The Spirits Business.
