Victor George Spirits expands US presence

Vodka producer Victor George Spirits (VGS) has partnered with distributor Breakthru Beverage to expand its presence in Florida, US.

The brand’s portfolio comprises Victor George “VG” Vodka and Fort Mose’ 1738 Bourbon, which are both produced at Palm Beach Distillery. VGS acquired Palm Beach Distillery in January 2022.

“With the success of our first two brands and the growth we are experiencing, partnering with Breakthru was the missing piece we needed to meet the demand across the state of Florida. Their commitment to working with smaller brand owners and particularly Black-owned brands made them the obvious choice,” said Victor G Harvey, founder and chief executive officer of Victor George Spirits.

Victor George Vodka is available in 45 US states, and carried by most ‘major retailers’ across the country, including Total Wine, Kroger, and Trader Joe’s. The vodka retails for US$19.99 for the 750ml bottling, and US$28.99 for the 1.75-litre bottle. Fort Mose’ 1738 Bourbon can be purchased for US$44.99.

VGS will be releasing Pullman Porters rye whiskey this month, followed by a new Tequila range, called Olmec.

In June, VGS agreed to give US$1 from every bottle of Fort Mosé 1738 Bourbon sold to a historical society.

In November 2021, VGS secured a loan of US$2.45 million to build a new distillery complex that will include a restaurant and rooftop bar. The Fort Lauderdale Community Redevelopment Agency board agreed to donate the money to fund the construction of VGS’ new facility.

Located at Sistrunk Boulevard, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the new complex will be called The Victory Building.
