The gin brand will open a branded lounge at the art fair, taking place 12-16 October 2022 at the Saatchi Gallery, to present a selection of serves.

The drinks will be created by global brand bartender Danil Nevsky, inspired by the origins of the brand and this years theme for art entries: transformation.

Robert Eastham, global sales and marketing director for Martin Miller’s Gin, commented: “We couldn’t be happier to be announcing this partnership with Start Art Fair, the perfect platform to launch emerging art talent into their careers and a befitting legacy to our founder’s story.

“Creativity, transformation and duality is at the heart of Martin Miller’s Gin. We see a synergy between the way we separately distill the botanicals for Martin Miller’s Gin and then blend it to strength with the transformative Icelandic water delivering the worlds most-awarded gin brand since 2004, with the way that an artist transforms a brilliant idea into a great work of art.”

Start Art Fair was set up in 2014 to provide a platform for emerging artists.

The partnership has also created the inaugural Martin Miller’s Gin Start Emerging Art Prize 2022. With an aim to support young artists, the submitted artwork is to take inspiration from the theme of transformation. Applications close on 15 June with the winner selected by a committee comprising Start’s curator Louis Chapple, Start Art Fair co-founder Serenella Ciclitira, and Eastham.

Results will be revealed on 14 October, with the winner receiving £5,000 (US$6,126), and the two runners-up receiving £1,000 (US$1,225) each.

The winner will also be given the opportunity to have their artwork placed onto a limited edition bottle of Martin Miller Gin, to be launched exclusively at Start Art Fair 2023.

David Ciclitira, co-founder, Start Art Fair, said: “Martin Miller was a true innovator and the Millers’ Antiques Guides he founded with his wife Judith Miller have become antique collectors’ bibles. It is a testament to his wide-ranging talent that he then went on to develop one of the world’s best gins and I salute his entrepreneurial courage. I am honoured to be hosting the first art award in the name of his gin brand, recognising emerging art talent.”

The gin brand recently released a new batch of its first seasonal expression, Summerful. It is also collaborating with bars and restaurants across London, Manchester and Edinburgh to mark World Bee Day.
