Ryan Reynolds and his mum star in Aviation ad
Actor Ryan Reynolds and his mum star in the latest Aviation Gin advert, which spotlights a Punch recipe to celebrate Mother’s Day.
Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds invested in Aviation Gin in 2018, and Diageo acquired the brand in 2020.
The Deadpool star and his mum, Tammy, feature together in the new spot and make Mother’s Ruin Punch – an Aviation Gin-based serve. Mother’s Day was celebrated in the US yesterday (8 May).
The spot was launched with the tagline “You gave us life. Thank you for that, Aviation Gin. Shout out to the mums, too. Happy Mother’s Day.”
The recipe has been outlined below.
Ingredients:
Half a cup of sugar (approximately eight tablespoons)
180ml Club soda
350ml Grapefruit juice
180ml Lemon juice
180ml Vermouth
350ml Aviation American Gin
Champagne (to top up)
Slice of grapefruit (to garnish)
Method: Mix together the sugar and club soda, and stir until the sugar dissolves. Add grapefruit juice, lemon juice, vermouth and Aviation American Gin and stir. After the mixture has chilled for an hour, top up the punch with Champagne.
Diageo and the actor launched Aviation American Gin on British Airways flights in March this year.
Reynolds’ wife, actor Blake Lively, is founder of Betty Buzz sparkling mixers. Lively unveiled a debut video campaign for her brand recently, which emphasised the range’s high level of carbonation.
