Svedka vodka unveils tea-infused hard seltzer line

Constellation Brands has expanded its Svedka ready-to-drink (RTD) offering with the launch of a tea-infused vodka-based hard seltzer range.

The Tea Spritz line is said to fill the consumer demand for a different type of spirit-based hard seltzer

The new canned hard seltzer, Svedka Tropics Tea Spritz, combines vodka with tea, sparkling water and ‘natural’ tropical fruit flavours.

The 355ml canned range is available in three 5% ABV flavours: Pineapple Guava, Raspberry Kiwi, and Orange Mango.

Raspberry Kiwi and Orange Mango are made with black tea and coloured with fruit juice, while Pineapple Guava uses green tea and turmeric.

“With our new Vodka Tea Spritz, Svedka Tropics is filling the consumer need for a different type of spirits-based hard seltzer,” said Billy Lagor, senior vice-president, brand management.

“With real ingredients and a lower ABV, Svedka Tropics provides a depth of flavour and a unique taste experience that sets it apart from other hard seltzers.

“The RTD canned category continues to grow at a rapid pace, and we believe Svedka Tropics offers a fantastic option for any occasion.”

Svedka Tropics is available in a variety eight-pack containing four cans of Pineapple Guava and two cans each of Raspberry Kiwi and Orange Mango, priced at RRP US$19.99.

The hard seltzers are also available in a pack of four for US$12.99, while a single can is priced at RRP US$2.99.

Svedka Tropics can be found at retailers across the US, as well as via Drizly and Instacart.

The brand also has a vodka soda RTD line, comprising Mango Pineapple, Black Cherry Lime, and Strawberry Lemonade variants.

In September 2020, the vodka brand released a zero-sugar flavoured range, called Pure Infusions.

Earlier this year, Constellation Brands partnered with The Coca-Cola Company to create a line of RTD cocktails under the latter’s Fresca soft drinks brand.
