The gin is bottled at 40% ABV

The brand was founded in 2016, and its Vanilla Bourbon Gin is expanding its presence in Europe.

“We’re always happy when we enrich our portfolio with something really special, this time with a delicate and delicious gin. One of a kind. The gin has a more than unusual character. Not only in the taste, but in the entire appearance,” explained Gregor Fric, director of spirits, wine and beverages at Merit HP.

Merit HP is said to be Slovenia’s largest beverage supplier, distributing spirits Hennessy, Glenmorangie and Belvedere vodka.

Sir Edmond co-founder Dominique Makatita said: “Merit HP has perfected the art of engaging with consumers, and the brands they represent have got a lot of stories to tell. Sir Edmond Gin has that too and therefore will blend in perfectly.

“This collaboration is a unique opportunity to accelerate in the Slovenian market. We couldn’t be more delighted to join Merit HP and work together to continue building a strong footprint in that specific part of Europe.”

In 2020 Sir Edmond Gin launched in Austria and Hungary, and is available online in countries including the Netherlands, the UK, Spain, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

Sir Edmond co-owner TJ van der Drift said: “We are passionate about joining forces with Merit HP and about introducing Sir Edmond Gin to the Slovenian consumer.

“We see the super-premium gin continue to grow year on year, so it is a perfect time to partner up with such an experienced and well-acclaimed team”.

The 40% ABV bottle can be purchased through the Merit HP website for €40.59 (US$46.05).
