ProWine Mumbai is due to be held for the first time from 17-18 November 2021 at five-star hotel The Regis.

The inaugural show will be organised by Messe Düsseldorf India and All Things Nice, India’s leading wine, spirits and luxury marketing consulting and events agency.

The organisers previously held the ProWein Education Campaign fair in Mumbai in 2018, with a second event in 2019, the latter of which saw 90 global producers take part.

The events in 2018 and 2019 offered masterclasses, tastings and seminars to around 400 delegates.

ProWine has now decided to launch a full trade fair in Mumbai, with a broad conference programme and masterclasses led by industry experts.

The two-day show will bring together exhibitors from global and local wine and spirits companies. The event will also feature a networking evening for the trade and a consumer tasting evening.

Trade show updates

The organisers of ProWine said they were busy preparing for its upcoming shows in Asia and Latin America.

The next ProWine event is due to be held in Hong Kong from 7-9 September 2021. It will be held at the same time as Hofex, Asia’s leading trade fair for food and hospitality.

ProWine Hong Kong is held every two years, alternating with the Singapore show, which is due to be held from 10-13 May 2022.

Furthermore, ProWine São Paulo is expected to be held on 5-7 October 2021, and the Shanghai fair is scheduled to take place from 9-11 November 2021.

The organisers said prospects for the Shanghai show are ‘currently very positive’, while the ‘situation in Brazil is full of confidence’.

The upcoming São Paulo show will offer 350 international wine and spirits producers from countries such as Argentina, Armenia, Brazil, Chile, Portugal, Spain, the US and Uruguay.

The flagship ProWein Düsseldorf event will be held on 27-29 March 2022, the first to take place since 2019 due to the pandemic.

“Over the past months numerous events had to be postponed and cancelled throughout the entire world,” said Bastian Mingers, director of ProWein. “Any trade fair we can offer means a spark of hope for the industry.”
