Bowsaw Straight Corn Whiskey will launch in 360 Alko stores across Finland, as well as being available online through the drinks retailer’s website.

John Soden, chief commercial officer of Kirker Greer Spirits, said: “Bowsaw Whiskey has already been in high demand across the UK and Europe, thanks to the bold flavour profile and the unique hand-finished bottle which complements the whiskey’s sense of craft and character.

“We look forward to working with our partners to accelerate the growth of Bowsaw Straight Corn Whiskey in Finland.”

The spirit has been distilled and matured near Louisville, in the US state of Kentucky. Made up of 91% corn, 5% barley and 4% rye, the whiskey has been distilled in a beer column before being transferred to a copper pot doubler in order to increase its ABV and enhance its character. The expression is then aged between four and five years in refill American oak barrels, and bottled at 43% ABV.

With a flavour profile of vanilla, cinnamon and straw, the whiskey opens up to notes of caramel, charred corn and salted butter.

It presents a finish of cracked pepper, dried grass and lemon.

Bowsaw Straight Corn Whiskey is currently distributed in the UK and Ireland through Kirker Greer Spirits, which expanded its global presence last month by launching in Germany and the Netherlands.
