Hi-Spirits to distribute peanut butter whiskey liqueur

UK-based spirits distributor Hi-Spirits has added Sazerac’s peanut butter whiskey liqueur to its portfolio.

The whiskey liqueur is available to buy for RRP £22 (US$29.96)

Sazerac-owned brand Sheep Dog’s debut liqueur was inspired by the ‘growing popularity of whiskey liqueurs in the US’.

James Johnstone, Hi-Spirits senior marketing manager, said: “Sheep Dog Peanut Butter Whiskey was created to satisfy peanut butter lovers and whiskey fans alike, herding all into the pack.

“We can’t wait to launch this nutty, cheeky and unpretentious brand in the UK as part of the Hi-Spirits portfolio.

“Is this the most exciting flavour trend to hit the UK this year? We think so.”

The brand predicts that the flavoured liqueur trend will take the UK by storm in the next six months.

Sheep Dog Peanut Butter Whiskey contains aromas of peanut butter, vanilla and caramel corn, as well as a warm and sweet butterscotch finish with undertones of subtle oak and coffee.

The 35% ABV liquid is recommended by the brand as an ice cold shot, a Woof’spresso Martini – the brand’s take on Espresso Martini – or mixed with Served Hard Seltzer in a Sheep Dog Hardball.

Sheep Dog Peanut Butter Whiskey Liqueur can be purchased for an RRP of £22 (US$29.96) per 700ml bottling, from Booker, Tesco and Amazon.

Hi-Spirits recently agreed a UK distribution deal with gin producer Warner’s to drive ‘strong brand growth’ in the on-trade.
