Baileys launches limited edition Colada flavour

Diageo-owned Baileys cream liqueur has partnered with American actor La La Anthony to mark the launch of a limited edition coconut and pineapple-infused variant.

Baileys Colada is said to offer a ‘tropical experience’

The new Baileys Colada (17% ABV) is made by blending Irish cream with coconut and pineapple – similar to the ingredients used to make a Piña Colada cocktail, minus the rum.

The expression is recommended served neat with ice, blended with ice, or on top of ice cream.

Stacey Cunningham, director of Baileys and liqueurs, Diageo North America, said: “We’re so excited to introduce Baileys Colada to welcome in the warmer weather months and give people yet another reason to treat themselves.”

To mark the launch of Baileys Colada, television personality and author Anthony has created her own signature serve, The Baileys Co-La La. The cocktail combines Baileys Colada and crushed ice in a blender, and is garnished with a chocolate-covered strawberry.

Anthony said: “There is nothing I love more than a proper beach getaway, but when I can’t make my way out to paradise, I’m always finding new ways to bring the vacation to me.

“The pineapple and coconut flavours help me create the perfect tropical experience without ever having to leave the house.”

Furthermore, Diageo has teamed up with blender brand Blend Jet to offer a custom Baileys Colada portable blender, which is available to buy online for a limited time.

Baileys Colada is available across the US for US$24.99 per 750ml bottle.
