Patrón reveals Margarita of the Year 2021
Italian bartender Chiara Mascellaro’s Rosalia cocktail has been voted the Patrón Perfectionists Margarita of the Year 2021.
On International Margarita Day (22 February), Tequila brand Patrón partnered with Difford’s Guide to discover the Patrón Perfectionists Margarita of the Year.
Former Patrón Perfectionists global finalists submitted more than 40 signature takes on the classic cocktail, before a public vote secured the number one spot for Mascellaro’s Rosalia.
Mascellaro said: “This challenge has been an opportunity to put my creativity [to the] test in a moment when our bartending community needs more inspiration and stimulus than ever.
“I had fun in experimenting and creating my own signature Patrón Margarita. I loved being in touch with fellow Perfectionists all over the world and feeling part of this supportive community who share the same passion and dedication to the world of mixology.”
Mascellaro’s winning cocktail is now available to buy via the Difford’s Guide website as an ingredients kit that can be created at home.
