Heather Fritzsche, CEO and co-founder of The Spearhead Group

The Tory Burch Foundation works to advance women’s empowerment and entrepreneurship in the US by delivering access to capital, education and digital resources. It was established by designer and business entrepreneur Tory Burch.

The Spearhead Group was founded by CEO and co-founder Heather Fritzsche in 2018. It is one of 50 women-owned businesses that have been chosen for the fifth annual Fellows Program.

The initiative receives dozens of applications every year and provides female entrepreneurs with US$5,000 for business education and access to a ‘distinguished community’ of their peers.

Fritzsche said: “It is an unbelievable honour to be selected for the 2020 Tory Burch Foundation Fellows Program. Women entrepreneurs face unique business challenges and the opportunity for recognition and mentorship from one the country’s most accomplished business leaders cannot come at a better time.

“I look forward to interacting with the other members of the 2020 Tory Burch Fellowship in driving real business solutions that reflect our shared dedication to women and diversity.”

The Spearhead Group is the official sponsor of The Spirits Business Awards’ Innovation in Packaging category.

The company aims to use its platform to champion women and minority-owned businesses by using business resources to help fellow entrepreneurs source expertise, manufacturing innovation and product development at a more preferential cost.

Furthermore, The Spearhead Group appoints women-owned business suppliers where possible, including Acuity Packaging in Louisville, Kentucky, and Greener Planet in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
