Jägermeister gives one million shots to UK on-trade

Herbal liqueur brand Jägermeister will donate one million shots to celebrate the reopening of pubs and bars in England next week.

Jägermeister is recommended served as a shot and chilled to -18C

On Tuesday (23 June), UK prime minister Boris Johnson confirmed bars, pubs and restaurants in England can reopen, both indoors and outdoors, from 4 July.

In support of the on-trade, Mast-Jaegermeister UK’s pledge to donate one million shots of its herbal liqueur will be available to the company’s national customers and through wholesaler promotions.

Michael Cleary, managing director of Mast-Jaegermeister UK, said: “Cashflow is going to be one of the biggest concerns for operators when they are finally able to reopen, so we want to support them as best we can.

“We continue to embark on efforts to help the on-trade and with the donation of one million shots of Jägermeister we are able to directly help our customers. Shots drive incremental sales putting extra cash into the tills and we want to offer one million opportunities to do this.”

Jägermeister is recommended served as a shot and chilled to -18C. The key serve is at the centre of Mast-Jaegermeister UK’s Perfekt Serve drinks programme.

Aidan Wilday, Mast-Jaegermeister UK sales director, said: “As a company, we are committed to supporting the on-trade: our partners, customers and consumers.

“This initiative follows the launch of the global #savethenight campaign and the Jägermeister limited edition Save the Night bottle. We are taking continued steps in helping venues generate sales whilst delivering the best nights of consumers’ lives as we safely begin to return to a new normal.”

Operators interested in the promotion should contact their local Jägermeister sales representative.
