Quarantine Vodka taps into at-home cocktail making
US producer Quarantine Spirits has launched a new ultra-premium vodka, designed to “elevate” cocktails made at home.
Bottled at 40% ABV, Quarantine Vodka is priced at US$29.99
Quarantine Vodka is an ultra-premium bottling, distilled six times and made using water in San Diego, US.
It was inspired by the drinkers who stayed at home and crafted cocktails during the coronavirus pandemic as countries enforced lockdown measures across the world.
The vodka is recommended in cocktails such as a Quarantini, a Martini made with dry vermouth and olive brine, a Bloody Mary or a Moscow Mule.
The nose is said to offer “clean aromas of corn that translate into a smooth and creamy mouthfeel” followed by a “fresh, crisp finish”.
Spirits retailer Flaviar said vodka sales grew 275% in the past two months, making it the fastest growing spirits category sold through the subscription service.
Quarantine Vodka is available to buy from Flaviar and Caskers for US$29.99 per 750ml bottle.
For each bottle of Quarantine Vodka sold through Flaviar, a bottle of antibacterial soap will be donated to those in need.
