Ritual Zero Proof creates alcohol-free ‘Tequila’

Non-alcoholic ‘spirits’ brand Ritual Zero Proof has expanded its portfolio with the launch of a booze-free ‘Tequila’.

Ritual Tequila Alternative has been designed for mixing in a Margarita

Ritual Tequila Alternative is said to be the first of its kind and joins the brand’s Ritual Zero Proof Gin and Whiskey Alternatives.

Tequila Alternative was created to be used in a Margarita. It was made with a range of botanicals chosen to emulate the flavour and mouthfeel of Tequila.

Marcus Sakey, founding partner and chief brand officer of Ritual Zero Proof, said: “Ritual Tequila Alternative is the first of its kind – all-natural botanicals and zero calories for an authentic, delicious cocktail experience.

“Since our launch less than a year ago, we’ve received so many requests for a natural, zero-proof offering that mimics the flavour experience of Tequila.

“With the Margarita in mind, we’re so proud we can deliver on that feedback, especially at a time when so many of us are mixing up our cocktail rituals.”

Ritual Tequila Alternative is available to purchase through Amazon as well as Ritual Zero Proof’s website, priced at RRP US$25 per bottle.

In January this year, Diageo-backed Distill Ventures made a minority investment in Ritual Zero Proof.
