The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has hit the on-trade hard, with bars, pubs and restaurants around the world forced to close their doors to protect customers and staff.

From Brooklyn to Brixton, the world’s drinking dens have sought ways to keep their businesses running through these difficult times and as a result have turned to deliveries and takeaways.

From classic cocktails to signature serves and ‘survival kits’, SB has rounded up a host of bars that now offer takeaway and home-delivery drinks services.

This is not a definitive list, and as more pubs and bars announce their delivery drinks services, we will keep updating this compilation where possible.

Dante, New York

Award-winning New York drinking den Dante launched its Dante Direct ordering service in light of the closure of the city’s bars and restaurants.

The bar’s cocktail menu and à la carte offering is available to order online for home-delivery or collection from the Dante site.

Cocktails available to order from the bar include the Aperol Spritz, the Japanese whisky-based Highballer and an Old Fashioned made using Knob Creek Rye.

Three Sheets, London

London bar Three Sheets is offering a range of bottled cocktails, beers and wine for home delivery and collection.

Drinkers within three miles of the Dalston bar can order cocktails such as the Raspberry Cosmopolitan, Negroni or Gin Martini for home delivery. Three Sheets is also offering bundles containing bottled cocktails, glassware, ice and garnishes to recreate the perfect serve at home.

Mister Paradise, New York

East Village cocktail bar Mister Paradise has transformed into Paradise Wines & Liquor to keep New Yorkers stocked up on cocktails, spirits and beers.

The New York bar will offer large format cocktails, including the bar’s signature Sex Panther, which combines rum, cola, ceylon tea, pineapple, lime, whey and soda, and the Cafe Disco, which is made with rye whiskey, buckwheat, coffee and absinthe.

Orders must be placed before 9pm on Thursdays for Friday delivery and can be submitted to hello@misterparadisenyc.com.

Ladies & Gentleman, London

London bar Ladies & Gentleman is now delivering a menu of Quarantinis and other cocktails to drinkers in the capital.

Delivered to addresses in north London via bicycle or electric car, the bar’s home-delivered offering includes the gin- or vodka-based Quarantini, Zombie, Old Fashioned, Negroni or Margarita.

There is a minimum order of five bottled cocktails per delivery.

Flying Dutchmen Cocktails, Amsterdam

Flying Dutchmen Cocktails in Amsterdam has launched its delivery service through Uber Eats and Deliveroo in Amsterdam.

Drinkers in the Dutch capital can order drinks such as the Flying Dutchmen Cocktail, Apricot Cosmo and Calvados Daisy every day from 5pm until 1am.

The bar’s menu of 20 cocktails, four non-alcoholic drinks and a range of spirit and mixer combinations are freshly shaken to order and sealed ready for service to your home.

Batch Bar, London

London’s Batch Bar launched its Isolation Takeaway Menu in light of the government-imposed closure of UK bars and restaurants.

The Peckham venue will offer delivery within 1km of the bar, as well as collection. It’s current offering includes G&Ts, whisky and ginger ale, vodka and soda, Prosecco and French 75s. Classic and signature cocktails are also available in 175ml bottles.

Waikiki Rooms, Mexico City

Mexico City tiki bar Waikiki Tiki Room has launched the Cocktails to Go service for drinkers in the Mexican capital.

The bar’s selection of four cocktails and three mocktails are prepared to order before being vacuum packed and delivered fresh to your door.

Orders can be placed through social media or on the phone and are available for home delivery or ‘grab and go’ from the bar.

Heads + Tails, London

North west London bar Heads + Tails has launched its selection of cocktails for home-delivery through Uber Eats and Deliveroo.

Available to local residents through the mobile apps, Heads + Tails is now offering a range of bottled cocktails, beers, wines and bar snacks. All the bottled cocktails available for delivery are 500ml and come with ice, garnishes and instructions for creating the perfect serve at home.

Leyenda, New York

Brooklyn bar Leyenda opened its ‘to go’ window service last weekend.

The neighbourhood drinking den is serving takeaway single-serve and larger format Daiquiris and Margaritas, as well as its bottled Palomas and beer.

All purchases must be made with exact change or via credit card.

The Proofing Room, London

London drinking den The Proofing Room has created a menu of cocktails for local and nationwide delivery.

The underground whisky bar is now offering bottled cocktails for home-delivery, including the Nikka Highball, made with Nikka Whisky, Kummel, absinthe, peach, olive and soda, and the Le Golden Highball, which combines honey, St Germain Elderflower Liqueur, Aberfeldy 12 and Birch Water.

Free delivery is offered for orders within two miles of the bar, adn UK-wide delivery is also available.

Mothership, Edinburgh

Mothership, the consultancy firm behind Edinburgh bars Bramble, Lucky Liquor Co and The Last Word Saloon, offers a selection of batched and bottled cocktails for home delivery

Bramble’s Affinity Cocktail, The Last Word Saloon’s Six Cylinder Cocktail, and Lucky Liquor Co’s Bottle Aged Brooklyn are all available to purchase online, along with a selection of liqueurs and other bottled cocktails from the three bars.

Shrub & Shutter, London

Brixton’s Shrub & Shutter has launched a home-delivery offering, supplying Londoners with bottled cocktails, wine and fresh pasta.

Available for delivery within a two-mile radius of the bar, Shrub & Shutter is offering bottled Negronis, a diverse wine selection and pasta dishes including Sardinian lasagna and arrabbiata.

The Initiative, London

London hospitality group The Initiative have created an online grocery platform.

Through the platform, The Initiative will deliver cocktails, beer, wine and spirits to isolating Londoners. As part of the scheme, The Initiative will also donate £1 from every order to a food bank set up to support those left unemployed as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
