Discount Suit Company celebrates sixth anniversary

London bar Discount Suit Company plans to mark its sixth anniversary with the launch of a new cocktail menu.

The updated menu at Discount Suit Company will include eight new cocktails

The Spitalfields bar, which opened in 2014 in a former suit tailor’s storeroom, has created a menu of eight new cocktails and three ‘returning favourites’.

Launching on Wednesday 15 January, the new menu includes cocktails such as Whipping Boy, which is made with Ocho Blanco Tequila, Lillet Rosé, citrus, olive brine and agave, and Cockney Touch, which combines Dewar’s 12-year-old whisky, fino Sherry, citrus, bitter grapefruit syrup and club soda.

Alongside the Hug Me Not, which is made with Seven Tails Brandy, akvavit, acorn, maple and Umbrella Brewing Sparkling Cider, the new menu at Discount Suit Company will also feature a sharing Punch for four, served in a wine bottle and opened at the table.

The menu will boast a colourful new design and will incorporate the bar’s selection of wines, beers and bar snacks.

Discount Suit Company was the first bar from The Umbrella Project when it opened in 2014. The Umbrella Project comprises a team of drinks industry professionals founded by Andy Kerr, Stephen Thompson and Alastair Tatton.

The bar’s opening was followed by the group’s launch of The Sun Tavern in Bethnal Green and independent brewery Umbrella Brewing in Holloway, north London.
