Matthew McConaughey offers stay in Wild Turkey cabin

Wild Turkey Bourbon is offering Australia-based fans the chance to stay in an eco-friendly cabin designed by brand partner Matthew McConaughey.

The Reserve by Wild Turkey x Unyoked has been designed by actor Matthew McConaughey

The Reserve by Wild Turkey x Unyoked is the result of a partnership between the Campari Group-owned Bourbon brand and travel start-up Unyoked.

Part of Wild Turkey’s With Thanks initiative, the collaboration aims to “get more Aussies out into the wild”.

The two-person cabin, located in Central Coast Hinterland, New South Wales, is available to book for AU$293 (US$200) on week nights and AU$353 (US$240) on weekend nights. Bookings on Fridays and Saturdays require a minimum stay of two nights. It will be available to book from 15 December 2019.

The dog-friendly cabin comes with a bar fridge, bedding, picnic table, gas stove, plates, fan, towels, solar power and a fire pit.

Dallas Buyers Club star McConaughey was the design director on the construction of the cabin, which is said to align with the Bourbon brand’s commitment to craft and “history of doing things the right way for nearly 100 years”.

The Interstellar actor was named creative director for Wild Turkey in 2016 under a multi-year partnership.

Proceeds from stays in the cabin and from sales of Wild Turkey Longbranch will be donated to Unyoked’s charity partner, Foundation for National Parks and Wildlife.

The pledge is Wild Turkey’s “first step” in a number of planned initiatives that will go towards conserving and protecting the environment.

Last month, Jim Beam gave Bourbon fans the opportunity to stay at its Kentucky distillery through Airbnb.
