Diageo to move HQ to central London

UK drinks giant Diageo will relocate its global headquarters from northwest London to the city’s Soho area in spring 2021.

Currently located in Park Royal, Diageo’s headquarters will relocate to a new central London home at 16 Great Marlborough Street.

Diageo’s London operations includes an office at 12 Golden Square, Soho; Justerini & Brooks at 61 St James’s Street; and Diageo’s Customer Collaboration Centre in northwest London.

The Johnnie Walker owner will move in spring 2021 as Diageo enters the final stage of its current lease.

The company’s 900 employees across all of Diageo’s London-based operations will move to the new site.

Diageo said the move will allow it to “create an agile, world-leading working environment” for all its London-based workers.

The relocation will also reduce Diageo’s combined 200,000 square feet of office space to a “more efficient” 105,000-square-foot building.

The new site will endure a complete refurbishment with Diageo’s employees involved in the design of the office.

The new headquarters will also provide an “immersive” customer collaboration centre and brand experience, along with a dedicated retail experience open to the public.

Mairéad Nayager, chief HR officer at Diageo said: “We are excited to be bringing our people together at last under one roof and closer to our consumers.

“We intend to create a world-leading workspace for them, designed to meet the needs of Diageo today and in the future.

“Our new headquarters will provide the most inclusive of working environments for all of our people and enable us to retain and attract the best talent in the future.”
