Mark Erwin has joined the Bardstown Bourbon Company’s board of directors

Erwin, the president of independent risk advisory firm Karakoram Group, has previously served 25 years in the US army. He also worked as an independent board director of Heritage Oil.

The appointment of Erwin expands the board to five directors, including Peter Loftin, founder and chairman of Bardstown Bourbon Company; John Mack, prior chairman and CEO of Morgan Stanley; David Mandell, founder, president and CEO of Bardstown Bourbon Company; and Jeff Hopmayer, managing partner of the Brindiamo Group.

“We are honoured to have colonel Mark Erwin join the Bardstown Bourbon Company Board,” said Peter Loftin, chairman of Bardstown Bourbon Company.

“Mark is an outstanding and highly accomplished business and military leader.

“His decades of leadership in the United States army’s special operations command, followed by his successful commercial career with both public and private companies, bring a huge amount of experience to our team and our company as we continue to grow rapidly. We will benefit greatly from his leadership, judgment, and guidance.”

In October last year, Bardstown Bourbon Company appointed Sazerac’s Herb Heneman as its new vice president of brand sales and marketing.
