Irish Whitetail Distillery launches at Whiskey Live Dublin

Ireland has gained another whiskey maker in the form of Irish Whitetail Distillery, which has launched today (23 November) with a single malt finished in African mahogany casks.

Irish Whitetail Distillery will launch its 12 Point Rogue Buck whiskey in 2019

The distillery, founded by husband and wife Nickolas and Violetta Boyle, is located in County Louth, Ireland, and is making its debut at Whiskey Live Dublin today.

Exclusive to the show, the distillery will offer visitors a taste of its 12 Point Rogue Buck Irish single malt, which has been initially matured in Bourbon barrels and then finished in African mahogany casks.

Bottled at 40% abv, the whiskey is said to have notes of vanilla, cinnamon, caramel and cloves.

It is scheduled to launch globally next year, alongside a peated and blended whiskey bottling, priced at RRP €55 (£50/US$62.50).
