Ryan Reynolds signs Virgin deal for Aviation

Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds and billionaire businessman Sir Richard Branson have entered into a partnership to serve Aviation American Gin on board Virgin Atlantic flights.

Branson has promised to teach Reynolds about “the difference between revenue and profit”

Reynolds acquired Oregon-made Aviation American Gin in February this year for an undisclosed sum.

Virgin Atlantic will become the exclusive airline partner of the brand, which will be served on-board Virgin Atlantic flights and via its Clubhouses.

As part of the partnership, Branson and Reynolds will appear in co-branded digital content this autumn.

“I’ve been a huge fan of Sir Richard Branson and Virgin for years,” commented Reynolds. “For Aviation to be chosen as the gin of choice for such an iconic and quintessentially British brand is a complete honour.

“We look forward to serving Virgin Atlantic guests for years to come and, on a personal note, Sir Richard has promised to teach me the difference between revenue and profit, so I am beyond excited.”

Branson added: “I’m delighted Virgin Atlantic is working with Ryan and his team on this partnership. Aviation Gin was born out of a spirit of innovation, so serving it on board Virgin Atlantic flights seemed like the perfect combination.”

The new partnership will be showcased at London Cocktail Week, with a series of activations at the Old Truman Brewery on 3-7 October.
