Fever-Tree launches cucumber expression

Premium mixer brand Fever-Tree has expanded its portfolio with the launch of a limited edition cucumber-flavoured tonic water.

Fever-Tree Cucumber Tonic Water is made from distilled cucumber extract

Fever-Tree Refreshingly Light Cucumber Tonic has been created with natural cucumber essence, extracted using a low-temperature distillation process.

The Cucumber Tonic Water will be available in 500ml glass bottles in the off-trade from 1 June.

Fever-Tree innovation director, Rose Black, said: “Cucumber is a quintessentially English flavour which has a strong association with summer drinking. By using pure cucumber essence distilled directly from the cucumber, we have created a great tasting, refreshing tonic that is the perfect drink to be enjoyed during the summer months.”

The new expression is said to have a “refreshing taste and aroma”, which pairs with fresh and floral gins.

This release follows the success of Fever-Tree’s first limited edition expression, Clementine and Cinnamon tonic water.

Fever-Tree Cucumber Tonic will be available in Sainsbury‘s and Waitrose at an RRP of £1.70 for a 500ml bottle.

In a statement delivered at the premium mixer brand’s annual general meeting in May, Fever-Tree chairman Bill Ronald said the company was trading in line with market expectations for 2018 following an “impressive rate of sales growth” last year.
