Sauza Tequila launches RTD range
By Owen BellwoodBeam Suntory-owned Tequila brand Sauza has unveiled three new canned, ready-to-drink (RTD) spiked sparkling waters.
Sauza Agua Fuerte is a Tequila-spiked sparkling water drink
The new RTD range, called Sauza Agua Fuerte, is a Tequila-based sparkling water drink with no artificial flavours or sweeteners.
Malini Patel, vice president of Tequila and premium growth platforms at Beam Suntory, said: “We’re excited to introduce something new to the fast-growing, spiked sparkling water category.
“With a Tequila spirit base and a focus on fresh, natural flavours, Sauza Agua Fuerte is perfect for Tequila fans who are seeking light, refreshing cocktails to enjoy during the warm weather months.”
Sauza Agua Fuerte is available in three flavours: Lime, “the ultimate refreshment on a hot summer day”; Grapefruit, “inspired by the flavours of a Paloma”; and Mango, which “offers a slightly sweet mango flavour”.
Sauza Agua Fuerte is canned at 5% abv and is available in a single 12oz can or packs of four, which carry RRPs of US$2.99 and US$9.99 respectively.
Financial results published earlier this year showed that Sauza brand owner Beam Suntory experienced mid-single-digit growth in 2017, driven by market share gains in the US and Japan.
