Fever-Tree releases low-calorie mixer range

Premium soft drink producer Fever-Tree has unveiled a new range of low-calorie mixers in the UK on-trade.

Each drink in the Fever-Tree Refreshingly Light range contains less than five grams of sugar per 100ml

The new range of low-calorie soft drinks, called Refreshingly Light, includes eight mixers made by blending fruit-based sugars with a range of other botanicals and ingredients.

Sitting alongside Fever-Tree’s regular tonics and mixers, the range includes Aromatic Tonic Water, Madagascan Cola, Elderflower Tonic Water and Ginger Ale, each designed to give “consumers the greatest possible choice” of mixers.

Rose Black, innovation director at Fever-Tree, said: “At Fever-Tree we are proud of our position as pioneers of the premium mixer and how we have transformed the wider mixer category. The Refreshingly Light range reflects the same commitment to the highest quality ingredients, botanicals and taste that is at the heart of all of our products and we are delighted to be able to offer bars and restaurants a choice of options free from artificial ingredients and sweeteners across our whole portfolio.”

Every drink in the Refreshingly Light range contains less than five grams of sugar per 100ml and hopes to give “UK customers and venues the widest selection of low calorie mixers to date”.

The Fever-Tree Refreshingly Light range is now available in wholesalers and on-trade accounts and includes Mediterranean, elderflower, aromatic and lemon-flavoured tonic water. It also features mixers said to complement the flavours of dark spirits, such as Ginger Ale, Madagascan Cola, Ginger Beer, Smoky Ginger Ale, and Spiced Orange Ginger Ale. The range will launch nationwide in April 2018.

Earlier this year, Fever-Tree increased its 2017 forecasts and now expects its full-year revenue to reach £169 million (US$238m) – a 66% increase on the previous year.
