Camus hires Cognac Ferrand founder as marketing head

Cognac house Camus has appointed drinks industry veteran Jean-Dominique Andreu as its new chief marketing officer.

Jean-Dominique Andreu is the co-founder of Cognac Ferrand

Andreu has 30 years’ experience across the wine and spirits sector and most recently acted as European managing director for Stoli Group.

Andreu’s Cognac experience dates back to 1989 when he founded Cognac house Maison Ferrand, running the business until 2007 with Alexandre Gabriel. He became president of A. de Fussigny in 2007 and also previously worked for Vranken Pommery Champagne and Beluga vodka.

According to Camus’ global commercial director, Anne Blois, Andreu’s main responsibility will be to “ensure a strong, profitable and rapid growth of our key brands in our key markets and head the marketing department in Cognac. He will naturally be working very closely with the sales team worldwide”.

Last summer, Camus – the largest family-owned Cognac house – moved into Irish whiskey with the launch of Lambay Irish Whiskey.
