Mexican folk art inspires Patrón limited edition

Patrón Tequila is preparing to launch its annual US limited edition one-litre bottle, which is inspired by Mexican folk art.

The third in Patrón’s series of collectible larger-size bottles features a brightly coloured pewter bottle label depicting the brand’s bee design and production processes.

It also depicts renderings of the weber blue agave plant used to make Patrón Tequila, an axe used to chop the agave, and a traditional tahona wheel that crushes the plant once it has been cooked.

The packaging includes a metallic stopper that mirrors the design of the label and a green gift bag. The bottle houses Patrón Silver Tequila expression.

“Patrón is always one of the most-gifted spirits during the holidays and our limited-edition large size bottle has become something that people look forward to every year, both as a gift for someone special, and for holiday entertaining,” said Lee Applbaum, global chief marketing officer at Patrón Spirits.

“The distinctive label design of this year’s bottle – influenced by our rich Mexican tradition of crafting artisanal Tequila – offers a truly unique gifting option for those who enjoy and appreciate high-quality, luxury spirits.”

The Patrón Silver one-litre limited edition bottle will officially launch across the US next month with an RRP of US$69.99.

The launch follows that of Patrón en Lalique: Serie 2 – an Art Deco-style bottle created in collaboration with French crystal house Lalique with a price at US$7,500.
