Orkney Distilling partners with chapel to craft gin
Orkney Distilling has partnered with Rosslyn Chapel in Midlothian, Scotland to create a bespoke gin called Prince of Orkney in homage to the chapel’s founder.

The chapel was founded in 1446 by Sir William St Clair, the third Prince of Orkney – and the gin has been named to reflect the title, which remained in the family until 1470.
Stephen Kemp, director of Orkney Distilling Ltd, said: “We’re incredibly pleased to have formed an association with Rosslyn Chapel as there is such a close historic connection to Orkney.
“Prince of Orkney Gin includes a number of Orkney-grown botanicals, including a variety of Angelical Archangelica, which is unique in the British Isles to Orkney.
“The result of these high quality ingredients, paired with the artisan production process, is a smooth spirit with a scent reminiscent of fresh sea breeze and a sweetness reminiscent of sherbet, lemon and pines.”
Prince of Orkney Gin is available for purchase exclusively at Rosslyn Chapel in 100ml, 200ml and 700ml bottles.
Rosslyn Chapel is managed by Rosslyn Chapel Trust, a charity registered in Scotland, and is open to visitors all year round.
