Leading British golfer and Glenmorangie ambassador Justin Rose joined the crowds after playing his first round at the Open Championship yesterday. Justin visited the Glenmorangie House Bar on-site at this year’s Open, held at Royal Birkdale on Thursday afternoon, and was joined by Glenmorangie’s other ambassadors golf legend Tony Jacklin and world-renowned golf photographer David Cannon. Glenmorangie is in its sixth year of sponsorship of the tournament.

On Monday, SB boarded the Laverstoke Express in London’s Banking Hall to experience The Grand Journey – an immersive dining and cocktail experience by Bombay Sapphire. Each of the gin’s ten botanicals were explored through specially-created cocktails paired with small plates crafted by Michelin-starred chef Tom Sellers. The immersive activation reflects the travels of master of botanicals Ivano Tonutti and will be open until 23 July.

Martini has kicked off the 2017 racing season with a once-in-a-lifetime experience for motorsport fans. In partnership with Airbnb, the Italian vermouth brand gave one winner and a guest the chance to stay over at the Williams Martini Racing garage at the Silverstone Circuit on 15 July, the night before the 2017 Formula One Rolex British Grand Prix.

This week Rebel Yell Bourbon hosted the first heats of its Band of Rebels cocktail competition, and also staged a Band of Rebels party at Lockside Tavern in Camden. The venue transformed into the home of Rebel Yell all summer long and the bar team have created Rebel Yell cocktails. The Band of Rebels night series explores music scenes and sub-cultures across the UK that are pushing boundaries and challenging the norm. It features a mix of artists that are pioneering sounds from across the globe and fusing them into modern electronic music to create heady, innovative sounds for dancing and drinking.

Mumbai Duty Free has launched its customer value programme, called Mumbai Duty Free is Now Free. Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan kicked off the programme by giving away free tickets to his latest film, Jab Harry Met Sejal, to Mumbai Duty Free customers. As a part of the program, free movie merchandise, movie tickets, signed posters and more will be given away to Mumbai Duty Free customers.

English wine and British gin took centre stage at the annual gathering of the UK’s ambassadors and senior diplomats last week. The Wine and Spirit Trade Association arranged for the best of British gin and the finest English fizz to be served at the evening reception of the Leadership Conference held annually at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO). Sir Simon McDonald, head of the Diplomatic Service at the FCO, took to the podium and called for the gathered dignitaries “to serve British at home and abroad”.

Hine Cognac has announced the winner of its 7th Painting Prize competition awarded to a final year Masters student at The Royal College of Art, London. Enguerrand Leonetti, Hine’s Brand Ambassador presented Jadé Fadojutimi (pictured) this years winner with a bottle of H by Hine to celebrate her success. Her winning work “Portrait of a Creep” will be shipped to France and added to the Hine art collection, where it will be hung in their offices alongside the canvasses of previous winners.

The visitor centre at Kingsbarns Distillery in Fife has recently received a 5 star rating from VisitScotland. The visitor centre opened in November 2014 and was initially graded at 4 stars in 2015. The facility includes a whisky tour complete with exhibition and tasting, a shop and cafe. The distillery recently launched Kingsbarns 2 Year Old Spirit Drink, the first release from the distillery to be matured in oak casks.

Gebr. Heinemann and Travel Retail Vilnius opened two Heinemann Duty Free and Travel Value shops in the Schengen terminal at Kaunas Airport.
