Ladoga moves into gin category

Russian spirits group Ladoga has entered the gin category with the launch of two expressions under its new Barrister Gin brand.

Ladoga launches Barrister Old Tom Small Batch and Barrister Dry Gin

Bottled at 40% abv, Barrister Old Tom Small Batch and Barrister Dry Gin are produced at the Ladoga distillery in Saint Petersburg using the “finest Russian grain”.

According to Ladoga, the gin is made through separate distillation of aromatic spirits to emphasise the aroma and taste of the botanicals, giving it a “delicate and balanced” flavour.

The gin features botanicals such as juniper berries, angelica, fresh lemon peel, coriander, cumin, anise, cardamom, black pepper, nutmeg, almonds, cubeb pepper, cinnamon

Barrister Gin is already distributing on the global market, with the first shipments sent to the Czech Republic, Portugal, Switzerland, Denmark and Lebanon.

Barrister Gin joins Ladoga’s spirits portfolio which includes: Imperial Collection Gold vodka, Czar’s vodka, Forty Degrees vodka, Prestige vodka, Ladoga vodka, Saint Petersburg vodka, Samson and Velikiy Gorod brandy, Fruko Schulz liqueur, Love Story liqueurs, Monteliano vermouth, and Lamonica aperitifs.
