Patrón unveils Mexican Heritage tin

Ahead of Cinco de Mayo, Patrón Tequila has launched a limited edition gift tin in the UK to showcase Mexico’s “colourful and artistic” heritage.

Mexican artist Adrian Dominguez designed the tin, taking inspiration from ancient Mexican culture

Mexican artist Adrian Dominguez designed the Patrón Silver Mexican Heritage Collector’s tin, taking inspiration from Patrón’s roots in Jalisco, Mexico, and ancient Mexican culture.

He used Aztec and Mayan lore in his design, choosing two divine figures to depict on the tin, the “fierce” jaguar and the “tranquil” peacock.

The other faces of the tin feature an image of the Patrón Silver bottle, and the signature Patrón bee emblem.

“Mexico is our home. It’s where Patrón was born decades ago, in the small town of Atotonilco el Alto, Jalisco, and where we still handcraft all of our tequila sold around the world,” said Lee Applbaum, global chief marketing officer at Patrón Spirits.

“And now with this beautiful new Mexican Heritage gift tin, we proudly celebrate the art and culture of the country we’re privileged to call home. It’s the perfect pairing of Mexican artistry.”

The Patrón Silver Mexican Heritage Collector’s tin is available from 5 May across Selfridge’s stores in the UK and Selfridges online at an RRP of £66.99, along with Amathus Drinks in Soho, London.
