Wódka Vodka eyes US comeback after acquisition
Florida-based Edgewater Spirits has acquired Wódka Vodka for an undisclosed sum, with the aim of “rebuilding” the Polish vodka brand in the US.

The brand – previously owned by Panache Beverages, also based in Florida – caused controversy in the US with advertising slogans such as ‘Escort Quality, Hooker Pricing’, and ‘Christmas Quality, Hanukkah Pricing’.
Wódka Vodka, which is said to be tripled distilled from Polish rye grown on the distillery’s estate, is currently available in 14 US states. Edgewater said it is “vigorously working to bring the brand back to leading shelves across the country”.
CEO Rich Roberts added: ““Edgewater Spirits is a turnkey resource with expertise in bringing brands to market. Edgewater Spirits tells the stories that move products and manage the details and relationships that make it all happen.”
Edgewater Spirits is a new company founded by Rich Roberts, who previously worked at Seagram’s, Trinchero and CEDC, and Daniel Undhammar, who also previously worked at Seagram, as well the the St Petersburg Distillery and Żubrówka.
