For London Fashion Week, in partnership with Fentimans, the Isle of Arran Distillery served hundreds of their ‘Burnito’ cocktails during the presentation of the Le Kilt AW17 collection. The Burnito combined Burns Malt Whisky, fresh lime juice, sugar syrup, mint leaves and Fentimans Ginger Beer.

Bottle #1 of Lagavulin 1991 will be auctioned from this Sunday to raise money for seven charities on Islay. The auction will run online with whisky and fine spirits specialists Whisky Auction from Sunday 26 February to Tuesday 7 March. The single cask bottling of Lagavulin 1991 was released on 31 December 2016 as the culmination of the distillery’s bicentenary celebrations.

Bulleit Bourbon has launched its new Frontier Works series in Los Angeles by unveiling the first ever tattoo billboard crafted completely from tattoo ink.

The tattoo, which features Bulleit’s label alongside dozens of LA-inspired tattoo designs, was crafted by 24 LA tattoo artists. Each artist was given a section of the installation’s canvas to design, with each illustration showing Los Angeles in a way that is unique and personal to each artist.

On Wednesday, SB headed to Street XO for its ‘Liquid Cuisine’ event showcasing the playful cocktail menu of the renowned Spanish restaurant. Pictured is the Yellow Curry, a combination of saffron, ginger, lemongrass, mandarins, cumin and basil.

On Thursday, SB headed to Dublin, Ireland for the unveiling of Irish Distiller’s latest experimental super-premium Irish whiskey range, Method and Madness. The group of 20 journalists were invited to exclusively taste the four whiskies in the range at The Marker Hotel in Dublin.

Later on in the day, we headed to the Midleton micro-distillery in Cork to find out more about the production process of the new range before a swift tour around the distillery and grounds.

The Cocktail Experience is set to return to Leeds with 18 of the city’s bars taking part in the cocktail event. In preparation for the festival, Vice & Virtue have created a cocktail called King of the North made with Compass Box Whiskey.

Facundo Rum Collection celebrated the ‘Art of Rum’ at Spago in Beverly Hills, California and treated Supper Club attendees to a four-course dessert-and-rum pairing featuring the four marques of the Facundo Rum Collection, of the Bacardi family’s private reserves. The two signature cocktails served were the Eximo Old Fashioned and Neo White Negroni.

For the UK launch of Luxardo Bitter Bianco aperitivo liqueur, Luxardo global brand ambassador ‘G’ Franklin (left) and the Cellar Trends team poured 1,000 serves for bartenders. Negroni Biancos, White Spritzes and other adventurous new mixes were made. ‘G’ was joined by Giuseppe Gallo (right) who brought his own Italicus bergamot liqueur for the Italian masterclass at The Edition hotel, which also featured Solerno, Cocchi and Peroni.

In celebration of National Margarita Day (22 February), Casamigos Tequila has created an array of cocktails to mark the boozy occasion including The Peyotito Margarita XO, made using Casamigos Reposado, Cointreau, Lillet White Vermouth, lime juice, orange juice, orange bitters, tahin spice (lime, chillies, salt) and a orange twist.

This week TT Liquor opened its doors at 17B Kingsland Road, London. The cocktail haunt, spread over three floors, features more than 1,000 liquors with the offer selected to give guests a taste of liquid history spanning hundreds of years of cocktail creation. Serves are accompanied by small plates, carefully created to complement each drink. Also keep your eyes peeled for spirits masterclasses, with a programme set to follow shortly.
