TWE Whisky Show returns for 2016

Touted as “the UK’s biggest whisky festival”, The Whisky Exchange Whisky Show is set to return to London this October featuring more than 600 whiskies from 14 countries.

The Whisky Show has more than 600 whiskies from 14 countries on offer

Established in 2009, the show brings distillers and whisky lovers from all over the world to London for a whisky experience with masterclasses, seminars, food pairings and hundreds of different whiskies to try.

Returning 1-2 October, with the trade day on 3 October, the show gives visitors the chance to taste drams across 50 stands, many bottles of which cost upwards of £1,000.

There will also be headline masterclasses with the opportunity to try old and rare whiskies, book signings and free mini-masterclasses plus a two-course whisky-inspired lunch.

As this year’s theme is Masterpieces, the Whisky Show will be joined by masters from across the whisky world along with some of ‘masterpieces’ they have created.

Highlights of this years show includes masterclasses from Brent Elliot with vintages of Four Roses Limited Editions and a discussion with Anthony Wills of Kilchoman on how he set up his distillery.

This year there will be bottled cocktails using whiskies from around the world – including Amrut from India, Elements of Islay from Scotland, Kavalan from Taiwan and Michter’s from the US, as well as an interactive whisky experience from Lagavulin to celebrate its 200th anniversary.
