Bar Convent launches Global Drinks Forum

Reed Exhibitions will host the first Global Drinks Forum, a full-day conference programme and networking event, in advance of Bar Convent Berlin this October.

The Global Drinks Forum will bring together conference sessions and networking activity ahead of Bar Convent Berlin

Set to take place at the Ellington Hotel, Berlin on 10 October, the “knowledge-sharing business conference” is targeting brand owners and managers, bar operators, agencies, distributors, wholesalers, importers and brand start-ups.

Current speakers include “The 86 Co” managing director Simon Ford, Bacardi global advocacy director Jacob Briars, and beverage and bartender community pioneer and P(OUR) founder Alex Kratena, De Kuyper CEO Mark de Witte, and Distill Ventures COO, Dan Gasper.

Topics set for discussion include building new products in international markets, brand experiences of the future, and the role of luxury goods in the future of the trade.

“The Global Drinks Forum and BCB complement each other perfectly because they emphasise different priorities,” said BCB director, Petra Lassahn.

“The new educational offering on the day before the show strengthens BCB’s position as the most important Europe-wide event for bartenders, and the spirits and beverage industry.”

The Global Drinks Forum is scheduled to run from 10am to 6pm on 10 October, followed by a networking event and closing dinner. Tickets are available now, starting from €380 for start-ups new to the market.

More than 280 exhibitors and 10,000 trade visitors are expected to attend BCB in 2016, which will feature the UK as its partner country.
