Gin Brand Champion 2016: Gordon’s
Gordon’s was the fastest-growing brand in the million case gin club last year
The world’s largest international gin brand, Gordon’s, is also our Gin Brand Champion 2016 owing to its phenomenal rebound last year.
After witnessing hefty declines since 2011, the Diageo-owned brand has returned to growth, boosted by a wider resurgence in consumer interest across the gin category. Gordon’s added almost a quarter to its global volume sales in 2015, with strong performances in Europe and Australia.
“[Gin is] a very exciting and dynamic landscape and one we’re proud to be a part of,” says Libby Wright, global head of Gordon’s, Gilbey’s, Pimm’s and Archers at Diageo.
“We’re seeing many different trends, but the one we’re taking particular delight from is the consumers’ choice to return to the old-time classic brands they know and trust.”
