Brown Forman appoints new GTR directorBy Becky Paskin
Brown-Forman has appointed a new managing director for its global travel retail business to replace Jim Perry, who will now focus on emerging markets.
Marshall Farrer, formerly vice president global brand director for Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey, will assume the new position on 1 May.
In his 17 years with the Louisville-based drinks group, Farrer has held a variety of positions ranging from chief of staff for Brown-Forman Spirits Americas to managing director of Australia/ New Zealand.
As MD of GTR, he will now assume responsibility for Brown-Forman’s increasingly important duty free business, overseeing the channel’s continued growth.
Perry meanwhile, who also acts as senior vice president for India, the Middle East and Africa, will add responsibility for Central America, South America and the Caribbean to his role.
The move will allow Brown-Forman to place greater focus on the “important” emerging markets of Brazil, Africa and India.
